The East London based cocktail bar, The Worship Street Whistling Shop will be hosting ‘The Juniper Journey’ later this month, in collaboration with Tanqueray Gin. Gin lovers will be able to taste a variety of juniper based drinks ranging from the past, present and future, and also be able to experience first-hand the craft, passion and innovation that has shaped the cocktails we have grown to enjoy and even love today.
Dates: Tuesday 12th November, Tuesday 19th November, Tuesday 26th November and Tuesday 3rd December 2013
Timings: Interactive sessions held on the hour at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm
Taking place within The Dram Shop, the sessions will be led by Whistling Shop founders and world-renowned mixologists, Tom Aske and Tristan Stephenson every week.
From the never-seen-before libations uncovered from the very recipe books that Tanqueray founder Charles wrote in the 1800s, right up to the secrets of future cocktail-making emerging from Tristan’s lab, each session will reveal an insight into finding the perfect balance of passion and patience behind every cocktail.
Participants will be treated to three bespoke serves established to offer a distinctive gin tasting journey but If this still wasn’t enough…
Guests will also receive a bottle of limited edition shoe polish created by Tristan from a recipe devised by Charles Tanqueray in 1843, when he turned his attention not only to creating gin but to perfectly polished shoes too. Complimentary shoe shining sessions will take place at the event courtesy of premium London establishment Shoe Shine Service…
