Four Pillars Gin continue their UK surge
Four Pillars have managed to keep the momentum going despite 2020 throwing as many curve balls as it can at distillers. Other than opening up their fantastic looking Gin Lab in Sydney, releasing a new Olive Leaf Gin and gaining another nomination for gin producer of the year by the IWSC – they’ve not dropped off delivering tasty treat for us Brits.
Four Pillars have announced they will be rolling out their Modern Australian Gin exclusively in Marks & Spencer from this week. The gin is intended as a contemporary ‘Aussie’ twist on a classic London Dry style. It was originally created in collaboration with one of Australia’s highest profile chefs, Neil Perry, and intended to be served up by the national airline QANTAS both inflight and at their airport lounges, but Covid happened and well, enough said there…
The gin promises to be a vibrant fusion of cultural flavour influences that have shaped modern Australia, combining classic notes of juniper with native Australian and Asian botanicals including lemon myrtle, red and green Szechuan, quandong, macadamia nuts, fresh grapefruit peel and Rosie Glow apples.
It’s their second major listing of the year, following cult favourite Bloody Shiraz Gin joining the Waitrose shelves last month. It’s an impressive run of form to say the least and one that could only be pulled off by a team such as theirs! There’s no excuses now, if you’re in store stocking up, dodge the supermarket’s snow-globe shaped gin liqueur in favour of something far, far better…
Four Pillars Modern Australian Gin (RRP £33.50) will be available in selected M&S stores across the UK from 5th November 2020.
