Gin stalwarts Beefeater will be bringing their bar to Junipalooza this year, where they’ll be shaking, stirring and muddling their way to glory with a ludicrously lip-smacking list of libations. Ever had a Martini with a side of mascarpone…? Us neither, and we can’t wait to try it.

The Beefeater team will be sneaking a few bottles of the rarer-than-hens-teeth London Garden Gin in with them, as well as their super premium Burrough’s Reserve too… Even more exciting news is that they’ll be bringing their Master Distiller, Desmond Payne with them.

Celebrating 50 years as a distiller this year, Desmond has almost certainly forgotten more than you could ever even hope to learn about Gin; he’s the man to talk to on the topic: if you have a question, he has the answer. Usually a cheeky one too. Desmond will be propping up the bar over the Junipalooza weekend, so be sure to say hi and congratulate him on his huge milestone.

The Beefeater bar team will be catering to your G&T needs throughout the weekend, but we’d definitely trying one or two (or even three) of their delicious cocktail. Below are the recipes, just in case you can’t make it to London and want to host a mini Junipalooza in your front room.

Martini K-Ya: this is a short, dry Martini served in the Japanese style – with a delicious Japanese rice cracker on the side, topped with marscapone cheese and a drizzle of honey.

50ml Beefeater Dry Gin
10ml Dolin Dry Vermouth
Pour both ingredients into a mixing glass, stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.

Mi-Lang Negroni: This is a soft Negroni, with oolong tea, Dubonnet, Aperol and Campari doing bittersweet somersaults across the tongue.

35ml Oolong infused Beefeater 24 Gin
25ml Dubonnet
7.5ml Aperol
7.5ml Campari

Pour all four ingredients into a mixing glass, stir with ice and strain into a rocks glass filled with large ice cubes.

Thyme Will Tell: This is a short, bitter and herbal cocktail with thyme liqueur and almond syrup working hard to tease out the citrus core of Beefeater London Garden Gin.

50ml Beefeater London Garden Gin
15ml lemon juice
5ml thyme liqueur

Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake with ice and strain into a rocks glass filled with large ice cubes.

Thirsty? Us too! See you at the bar…
