Junipalooza Gin Festival 8

Junipalooza London

What’s Junipalooza you ask? Let’s break it down:

Juni: An abbreviation of Gin’s signature botanical, Juniper.

Palooza: Noun, a party, celebration or festival.

Junipalooza: a celebration of all things Gin, with dozens of makers in one room, sharing their love and know-how of the drink, as well as serving up samples of their juniper-laced spirits and generally having a good natter about all things GIN! Oh, and it’s all accompanied by a great bar, a range of talks and guests having the best time since… well, last year’s stellar event.

Junipalooza was established in 2013 with the intention of giving kindred Gin fans an opportunity to meet gin makers and to discover more about how they make their spirits and the stories behind their brands. Three years on, it has also become known for its ability to shine a light on the huge variety of gins in the category, both big and small, within an environment that is more immersive than the standard trestle-ridden affairs.

Junipalooza is a unique gin festival – it’s a Meet the Maker show, not just somewhere with a large selection of gins laid out for you to try. There is no other drinks event with so many ginsmiths all together in one room. This year will be especially exciting for those with a penchant for foreign gins, as 2016 has a strong focus on international distilleries, too.

On the day, you’ll get a chance to meet the 35+ ginsmiths who are flying in from all over – Australia, Canada, East and West Coast USA, South Africa, Germany, Spain, Finland & Sweden, and you’ll be invited to sample a range of their amazing botanical blends. With a bar serving up amazing cocktails, a dedicated masterclass area and the opportunity to buy directly from the makers, it’s an amazing chance to stock up on both knowledge and gin as you explore the world’s best tipple.

We couldn’t very well celebrate Gin without bringing Tonic along, too, so there will also be dedicated Tonic Water stands, giving you the chance to taste a variety of mixers before you settle upon your ideal pairing.

Junipalooza is proud to take place over World Gin Day (Saturday 11th June), and to celebrate the global nature of this occasion, 2016 will place a particular focus on launching new brands – some come from established British Makers, while others will come from international distilleries, who’ll be making their UK debut right in front of your very eyes.
