Junipalooza London

What’s Junipalooza you ask? Let’s break it down:
Juni: an abbreviation of Gin’s signature botanical, juniper.
Palooza: a party, celebration or festival.

Junipalooza is back at Tobacco Dock on the 10th and 11th June (over World Gin Day 2017), with more events, more masterclasses and more gins than ever before.

The annual Gin festival is a very much one of a kind; not only are all of the makers behind each gin there to talk you through their products in person, but every single gin is free to sample and comes with the option to drink neat or with tonic. Take your time however, as with so many to go pick from you’ll not want to burn out too early!

Over 50 gin distillers will be in attendance, with over 100 gins on offer between them. Once through the door, you’ll be handed a tasting glass, a show guide and a small bottle of Hildon Mineral Water and off you go to taste you way through the next four hours. Your ticket entitles you to as many samples as you’d like to try, as well as access to a range of talks and masterclasses from industry experts (these are first come first served), a great cocktail bar and a room full of gin geeks having the best time since… well, last year’s stellar event.

Junipalooza is a great chance to hear the stories, dreams and ideas that have done into to making each drop being served, and become a part of them. We have a strict owner or maker policy at the show and Junipalooza has become known as a unique opportunity to meet the makers behind craft gins from around the world, attracting guests from all over who fly in to join in the festivities. You’ll also have the opportunity to buy directly from the makers but if you prefer doing it all in one go – Gin Kiosk also has a shop on site if you don’t want to carry the gins around all day. Simply take your tasting notes to them at the end of the session and pick up and armful.

Now in its fourth year, Junipalooza is a huge event and undoubtedly the best way to spend World Gin Day. The festival is £30 per person and tickets usually sell out before the event so don’t miss out. Scroll down to browse tickets…

It's over for 2017

The Sunday session is an hour longer than Saturday's, meaning you have a little longer to talk, schmooze and sip your way around the show.

Please note, all stands will stop serving gin 10 mins before the end of the session.

Stay Sharp and discover all the flavours

Water plays a vital role in gin tasting. Not only does it keep you in peak tasting condition, but certain ABV's will favour certain flavour profiles and it is a fact that many distillers take seriously. For most gins, water is 60% of the contents of the bottle...

When it comes to tasting - with careful addition of water to your glass, you can unlock all the nuances in each of the gin. Give it a try over the weekend and please, enjoy your drink responsibly.

Beefeater Bar

Gin stalwarts Beefeater will be bringing their bar to Junipalooza this year, where they'll be shaking, stirring and muddling their way to glory with a ludicrously lip-smacking list of libations. Ever had a Martini with a side of mascarpone...? Us neither, and we can't wait to try it.

Directions, Directions, Directions

Tobacco Dock is located at the junction of Wapping Lane and Pennington Street, E1. The nearest Overground station is Wapping - no more than 5 minute walk from the venue.

More details and travel advice can be found on tobaccodocklondon.com

Is my ticket transferrable?

Unfortunately, tickets are not transferable or exchangeable for another session or date.

Can I get a refund?

We understand this can happen and in principal, this is fine and we will issue a refund. However, please note that we only accept and process refunds submitted 5 working days prior to the date of the event. After this point, all tickets are non refundable.

How old is enough?

You must be over the age of 21 to enter Junipalooza.

We do allow adults who have bought tickets to bring their children (under 5) along, as long as their are two adults per child. As it is a gin show, please be aware there will be nothing to cater to children. It is all about gin.

Please also be aware that we cannot accept any form of underage drinking whatsoever - even if it is the parent giving a seemingly innocent "sip, try, test" to their own child. Anyone seen doing this will be asked to leave immediately.

Can I buy gin at the event?

Each gin maker will be able to sell their gin from their stands, so you can by directly from the producers. Some will accept cards but many will not have machines, so if you specifically want to get your gin fix from the makers themselves, bring cash just in case.

Alternatively, to make it convenient and easy, Gin Kiosk will be also there, stocking all of the gins at the show, at the same price as on each of the stands. That way, you can pick it all up in one go, pay by card and not have to walk around laden with bottles!
